Do I need an MBA with a degree in Mechanical Engineering?

I am currently majoring in mechanical engineering and can either choose to: (1) graduate in 3 or 3.5 years, (2) graduate in four years with a minor in business, or (3) graduate in 3.5 years and then get an MBA in two years. Which option is the best considering money spent, possible salaries, and time spent?

I think option B sound best out of all.

1) you are just a mechanical engineering working for some else. Not much advance. You have to craw up the ladder to be director/others when you’re 35-40. There also a test I think you take, not sure but my brother is a civil engineer – 4 yr now and he has to take Professional Engineer Test -(extremely hard). He doesnt get promote until he past the test.

3) unless you are wealthly or extreme good at engineering. It cost money. I not quite sure how to get scholarship for MBA school. If u are good at ur job or if u work for Boeing then you can go to evening school or MBA sponser by ur employer.

Evening school = sacifice night life, weekend, while u work full time to pay bills.

MBA sponser= ur employee see potential in you! and they willing to let you off for a year or 2 to get an MBA.

2****** get a minor in business will help your employee see potiental in you and the school for business will see ur capable and able to challenge ur self while having basic knowledge of business.
