Do employers care if you have a GED if you went to college?

Say I drop out junior year and get my GED, go to community college and then a 4-year college and graduate.. would employers really care if I have a GED compared to a diploma? Do they even check for that? I mean I understand that a GED may say “I gave up and dropped out”, but since I went to college for 6 years and graduated with good grades wouldn’t it counter that stigma? I’m assuming that SOME employers would care.. but not many.. I could be wrong though.

Nope, you don’t even have to put that on your resume. You’ve got a degree now, there is no need to put high school information.

it might no longer be an decision. Many states won’t make it easier to’re taking the GED while you’re under the age of 18 and/or ought to be enrolled in severe college somewhat – it is not made for college young infants who choose to get out of highschool early. The GED isn’t well worth as much as a severe college degree, would not symbolize an identical understanding and dedication, and tells faculties and employers you took the essential way out. basically, at your age, it seems undesirable. purely end the degree.

No one will care, but if you only had a GED and nothing else, I wouldn’t expect a great job.

I’ve never had an employer look at my high school records and when I was a manager, I never looked at anyone else’s high school records.
