(Conservation) Biology w/severe math disability?

Hello everyone,

I need the help of all you students and scientists please 🙂

Here’s my situation. I have a BA in Political Science/International Developement already. I am becoming increasingly interested in possibly studying Biology with an emphasis on conservation.

During my undergraduate years I took Biology and Ecology and faired pretty well with B’s in both. However, the mathematical component of these courses was a huge struggle, as was chemistry. I have a diagnosed math disability and have about the math skills of a 7th grader.

Do I have any chance of succeeding with a BA in Biology given the courses needed -or- alternatively have any chance of being accepted into a graduate programme without much previous math coursework?

Bio majors: could you tell me a little about your courses?

Thanks 🙂

Here’s the thing if it. In your INTENT you have to be able to complie, delinate and present STATISTICS.

You want to CONSERVE something you have to DEMONSTRATE with MATH where things are going right or wrong.

So you will be forced to get your math skills up, but not in the realm of Calculus only a little BABY TRIG (Log e) and geometry (graphing with x,y and matrix coordiantes).

In some instances computer programs can do the work for you and you can be like Eistein and hire someone with math skills to check your work.
