Community college or tech school?

i just graduate from high school and since i was 8 ive wanted to be an electrician b/c i love everything about it..everything. so im going to community college for starters and i figured i could do business management to know how to run an electrical business of my own. OR if im 100% with electrician, should i just go to tech school after a year and do that? thanks i really need a good answer.

I think your idea of studying business management first is a great plan. Courses in accounting, business management, and maybe human resources/employee relations would be valuable if you are planning to be a business owner someday. So would extra math — I imagine you’d need to calculate loads, quantities of wire, etc. if you were a serious electrician.

Then do the tech program so your electrical skills and knowledge are up to date and you would be set. Good luck!

You have to make that decision for yourself, noone else. It really depends on you doing some comparison of both and thinking about what you really want to do.
