College help please!?

I seriously want to go to Harvard Law School since I was seven.

Right now I’m a 9th grader.

Starting from now, what can I do that’s different and very good to get me into my desired college?

Well, first you need to make the highest grades that you can get, take the higher classes and join extra curriculars. Get a hobby, one that is different from most people’s but that you find interesting. Volunteer…it looks great on a resume! Get as much experience out of life that you can. Then you need to get into a great college, do well there and show that you can stand out…join academic fraternities, student government and other things…keep volunteering and then after you graduate at the top of your class then you should have a great application to put through to the law school.

Good luck!

Harvard Law is a long way away from you. Make sure you get good grades in high school and go to a good college. Major in whatever you want and do well on the LSAT.

For now, just have fun. You’re still a kid. You could volunteer in your community, participate in school clubs and sports, maybe even get an internship (or filing job even) at a law firm. For law school, they care about what you did in college. So just get to college. That’s what you can do for now.

You need to get just about perfect grades if you want to go to Harvard right out of high school. Think a 4.0. You need four years of English, four years of science (biology, chemistry, physics, and one more course), 4 years of math, 3 years of history(including American and European), and four years of the same foreign language. They recommend taking Advanced Placement classes. You should focus are ranking in the top 10 – 15% in your class.

Also build up your resume. This should include part-time jobs, extracurriculars, volunteer work, clubs(try to get positions), etc.

In case you did not know, you need to get your bachelor’s degree first before you apply to law school and also take the LSAT. I am assuming you want to get your bachelor’s and law degree at Harvard.

Participate in high school activities – sports, national honor society, music, drama, etc., merit scholar programs (look into). Start preparing for your SAT’s & make straight A’s, and participate in community projects outside of school. Good luck! You have high aspirations – just remember you have to graduate college first and then go to law school 🙂

just as everyone here has already said, you need top-notch grades and a killer SAT score and application essay. however, these components still do not guarantee you admission. it’s really about the luck of the draw. if you’re what they’re looking for at the time you apply, you’ll get in. just make sure to have backups just in case. good luck!
