College and Alumi students answer only plz?
Do you find that it is or would have been better to have first attended a community college because of the small classes, cost, and money you would save. I’m senior with of course sooo many decisions to make my GPA weighted is 3.3 and I would say I’m a very respectable good student who just wants to succeed and do better than what my parents did you know. I will have be the first to attend college and out of my cousins the first to graduate. All the adults I know say I’m University material and that its time for me to get out of here and experience life behind all the financial problems. But which is better to attend and explain why plz.

In my view, University should be a wrenching intellectual exercise, completely pulling apart what you thought you knew, and replacing it with something more defensible. For that, you need four full years (maybe three in the UK) of being in a challenging university setting. Community College is mostly a continuation of High School. It doesn’t challenge your core delusions, so it doesn’t provide a maturation experience.

For some people, it’s a good idea. It wouldn’t have worked in my area though (physics). I was at a small liberal arts school. Physics is a 4-year degree – upper level classes require lots of prerequisates that aren’t offered at community colleges. If you want that sort of major, you may be adding a year to your college education if you start at a community college. But if you don’t, then it’s often a good idea.

Community College should be your first option. Complete 24 units prior to transferring.
The cost is less and the you will become familiar with the independent scheduling process of becoming more mature.

It depends on what you want to major in and if you want to continue onto a four year school. If you eventually want to go to a four year school you should decide which one or ones you may want to go to and you should try to find out what the requirements are for each of these schools.
