Eri doesn’t know what she is talking about. There are plenty of indexed articles in medical journals that show the efficacy of spinal manipulative therapy on neck and back pain, as well as headaches. It is true that some chiropractors are wacko (ICA and WCA types) but that is not true of most of the profession. We, unfortunately, are victims not only of AMA antitrust issues from the 1960’s through the 1980’s, but of a few loud mouths within our own profession. What eri is right about is that you might want to try another profession. I would not recomend nursing. I treat many nurses and they all have back backs from lifting heavy patients. A good alternative if you want to do chiropractic-like treatments would be a physiatrist, doctor of physical therapy, physical medicine, or osteopath. I wish I could recomend chiropractic as a career, but unfortunately, we do shout ourselves in the foot sometimes and people as a whole are uniformed about the actual scope of our practice as well as our extensive medical training, which happens to focus on anatomy and physiology more than pharmacology, as it should be.

I used to be truthfully amazed at how much cash a chiropractor makes. I feel they make plenty greater than an acupuncturist on account that men and women have skepticism at the importance of acupuncture. Which one I’d select for remedy depends upon the situation

Probably none. There aren’t any accredited schools in the US that teach chiropracty. It’s not actually considered a real medical field of any sort. Basically, it’s right down there with acupuncture and reflexology. It doesn’t really work. If you want to help people, try getting a nursing degree instead.
