Cheapest colleges?

I have decided to start working towards my associates degree online. I’m looking into the University of Phoenix but am curious to know if anyone knew of any cheaper. Its almost $500.00 per semester hour. I move around alot so online is all I have time for.

Thanks

Almost every public college and university has an online program now, as do a lot of private schools. Just think of the nearest college to you, and look at their web site, or pick a Big 10 university, and look at theirs.

Just about every traditional university has a better reputation than UPhoenix, and all the public ones should probably be cheaper.

Do not go to University of Phoenix. It’s private and it would be very expensive. Do this, many community colleges these days offer most of the courses on line. They have same class offered three times a week or once a week. Even they give you option of day and night classes. Community colleges are cheap and they also give you full financial aid if you qualify. If you are a single income, you can show your expenses and they would cover your every fee. You won’t even have to pay for registration.

Do not go to a private university for associate degrees. They rip you off. Look at my example—I did by Associates from L.A Valley College and I got financial aid for 3 years. I was done and I didn’t have any loans. My friend did it from private university and she is still working to get her loans paid off. You have to weigh the situation. If you were doing BS or MS degrees, it makes sense to pay higher amount, but associate should be cheap.

Good Luck
