If you are planning to study medicine in the USA, then you need to be aware of how the higher education system in the USA works:

In order to become a medical doctor, you first need to complete a bachelor’s degree (4 years of university/undergraduate) in any field, but the majority of students choose biology or chemistry as their major. In addition to your normal curriculum, you will also need to be enrolled in the pre-med program where you will work with an advisor on your requirements for medical school. Once you finish your bachelor’s degree and take the MCAT (the entrance exam for medical school), you can apply to medical schools in the USA. This is very competitive and only a fraction of applicants are usually admitted. Medical school is usually more expensive than any other academic program with an average cost of 150,000 to 200,000 USD for 4 years of medical school. In addition, many medical schools do not admit international students because of the high tuition rates. Most international students take a different route by completing medical school in their country and then applying for a residency or fellowship program in the USA.

You definitely don’t need to spend $5000 on an agency. If you really want to apply to a US university, just apply. Select a few universities that offer your program of study, and apply online and send them your transcripts and other materials via mail. The total cost should be much less than $5000 with some universities charging an average application fee of $75. If you need more information, let me know.

Good luck!

It’s always best to follow your heart and head in choosing a

career. First question might be…”what do you love to do in free time ( for free!) ?” Then…”what are you really good at doing?”

If you can take your passion for doing what you love most, and make it into a service of some kind for others to benefit, then you will be happy and successful.

Need to chat about this more? msg me if you’d like. 🙂
