An undergrad (undergraduate) is a student who takes courses to earn a Bachelor’s degree–they have not graduated yet.

A postgrad (postgraduate sutent) is one who already has a bachelor’s degree and is studying for an advanced degree (usually a masters or Ph.D.).

A university is an institution with a broad range of diciplines–while a college is usually focused on a narrower range of areas of study. But there’s no “formal” dividing line–and the name can be deceptibe. Boston Colege, for example, has a wide range of disciplines–but that’s the name they had a century ago and they don’t want to change it.

Undegrad: Undergraduate- this is when you haven’t graduated from college yet. If you are starting college you would be in the undergraduate department.

University & College: A University is usually a large school that consists of many colleges (ex. Arts & Sciences College, Business College, Engineering College… etc.). A school that is just a College, is smaller than a University and does not offer as many majors. Also a college is not as well known as most universities.

Postgrad: Postgraduate- a student with a bachelors degree

College and University are the same thing (most of the time, colleges are smaller than universities)

Undergrad basically just means your working towards a bachelor’s degree (a 4-year degree).
