Can i transfer to a pharmacy even though i did bad in Highschool?
I did horrible in highschool, so i obviously couldn’t get into a pharmacy program. The University i’m attending has a pharmacy program, and i want to try transfering after my first year in my university. So far i’m getting all A’s, and my classes are
Public Speaking, English composition, Calculus, World History, and Management.
If i keep up my A’s will i be able to transfer to the pharmacy department?

Sure. The pharmacy college won’t ask for your high school record. At most you might give the name of your high school, but that is all. However, you haven’t taken any science prereqs, and those are the important courses. However, you’ll need to wait until you’ve completed more of your prereqs. The earliest you can transfer is after 2 years of college. You haven’t taken any chemistry, biology, anatomy/physiology amongst other courses. You’ve only taken one hard course, Calculus.

You will have to work with an advisor on trasnferring into the Pharmacy program.
You will not necesarily need to keep your grades up in ALL of your classes, although it is a plus…you will have to keep your grades up (usually t least a 3.8) in your science classes.
Check with a Pharmacy advisor and talk with them about it.
