I don’t really know why not. . . it really just depends on how the programs you apply to feel about that, though.

Personally, I’ve done grad degrees in engineering around people who came from science programs that may or may not even have been in a related field. It just means they had to take some extra fundamentals courses on top of the regular requirements that I didn’t need to.

I’m not too familiar at all with what you can study as an undergrad in journalism, but I’d definitely try to pick areas that would lead in best to looking more at whatever part of history most interests you for grad school.

It depends, most masters in history programs require you to have a certain amount of history courses underneath your belt. The one I am attending you had to have 18 to 19 I believe or a related subject. Check with the program directors first they usually can send out a prospectus or they may have the requirements on-line. You might want to check out smaller schools as well they usually have loosened rules on that point.
