Can anyone explain what a LL.M in International Taxation means?

I want to know what sort of work one can find with this sort of degree. And I would like to know as much feedback as anyone can give me on the subject. Plus, what bachelor’s degree is recommended to obtain?

LLM is the degree you can earn after you earn your Juris Doctorate (JD). LLM requires 1 more year of study so with an JD/LLM, that is 4 years of school. LLM just means you are specialized in one area, such as International Taxation.

The jobs are varied, with an LLM you can teach or work in a firm.

Any Bachelor’s degree would be acceptable to get into law school. I am not sure which country you are writing from, however, some countries have law as a Bachelor’s degree. In that case, you can just apply for a LLM program directly without getting your JD. However, some states require a JD before you can get licensed to practice law in that state. So even if you studied law in your home country, you may need to go through 3 years of law school to earn your JD if you decide to ultimately practice in the US.

So BA (Any major is okay)->JD->LLM.
