California Polytechnic and other engineering schools?

When I said I wanted to go to Caltech, my friends laughed and said that I was being unrealistic. Then, I said Calpoly, and they laughed again, saying that Calpoly was the “noob” engineering school.

So my question: Is Calpoly really that bad? And what other engineering schools are there that are in California, and better than Calpoly?

Harvey Mudd is a really good engineering school located in Claremont and is part of the Claremont Colleges.

Calpoly is actually pretty good for engineering. Cal Poly Pomona and San Luis Obispo are both excellent for practical engineering and I know a lot of students that come out of there that are able to find employment afterwards. The cal state schools provide more of a practical approach to engineering, while the UCs provide a more academic approach.

Stanford and USC are also schools with strong engineering degrees. You can’t really go wrong with the cal polys though.

Below is a link to Harvey Mudd.

CPSLO is academically the perfect CSU. that is more suitable complicated for admission than UC Riverside and Merced. that is surprising for all sciences such as those that are element of pre-med. till you stay contained in the CPSLO “provider section”, also be conscious to some united statesor to another top CSUs which comprise Chico. in basic terms 37% of CPSLO applicants are admitted.
