Who has ever been in a spelling bee before?
I have been in a spelling bee before, I won in my school when I was in grade 4, and I went against Grade 5, 6, 7, and 8 students and I won!!
Then I went to the Regional Spelling bee. I got to the 3rd round, and missed on Susceptible.
Has anyone ever been in a spelling bee before? Are you proud to where you got in it?

I was in a city adult spelling bee for charity a few months ago. We had 15 teams of 3 adults per team. The teams represented various government and civic organizations. My team was the 2nd to last eliminated. We lost on the word when it was my turn to spell (we were able to collaborate with the team members). I felt like I let the team down, but I was proud of how far we were able to come.

I got 3rd place in our elementary school bee, out on the word calendar which is so embarrassing considering how easy it is. In my defense, the 1st and 2nd place kids were older than me. I wouldn’t have even made it to the school bee but the kid before me in my class knew business, which I did not. It was pure luck.
I won a $10 gift certificate to barnes and noble, pretty sweet.

I was i lost because i got really nervous XD I was still proud though because well at least i beat my class and got into the real spelling bee

I got runner-up in the mandatory 6th grade bee. I got out on ‘character’ which i may or may not be still misspelling 7+ years later… I didn’t think it was a big deal or that I should be proud because it was mandatory… But the winner’s mother, who volunteered in the classrooms sure did…and then I was embarrassed that my family didn’t celebrate me running up when she asked…..the end.

Yeah. I was a 5th grader n i won 1st place 4 my district. I was SOOOO PROUD OF MYSeLF!!!!!But den i never won again lol. [bcuz afterwards it was optional 2 try out 4 it] I miss dat feeling =(

not spelling, but i finished 7th in the state in the national geographic bee!!!!! nobody had any idea that i knew so much about geography.

I qualified to be in one when I was in fourth grade, but I pulled my name out because I was too shy back then. Also I really wasn’t into it. I was little.. I wanted to play in the playground!
