If this happened in America, the driver was the one further to the left of the wreckage. If it happened in Australia, which also has desert, the driver was to the right.There is not enough other evidence to say otherwise. Were they driving during the day or night? Were they wearing t-shirts? How long had they been lying there? Did they alternate driving during the trip? If they crashed during the day and their bodies were in the sun for any length of time, they both would have shown signs of sunburn. If they were wearing t-shirts this would especially be true. With the airconditioning on there would have been little likelihood of driving with the driver’s side window down. Even so, most cars have tinted windows these days. If they had both had a turn at driving then both could have signs of tan on their (driver side) arm. It would not be possible to say how recently that tan occurred.
