Assume there was “a largest.” Then you could add 1 to it, making it larger. Same logic applies for negative numbers. 1 can always be subtracted.

Numbers continue without bound positively and negatively.

In computer programming, however, Integers have specific sizes and limitations.

For example, in the language C#…

The smallest signed integer is:

-2,147,483,648

and the largest signed Integer is:

2,147,483,647

The smallest unsigned Integer is:

0

and the largest unsigned Integer is:

4,294,967,295

The largest negative Integer is always -1.
