Whats the largest positive integer? And the largest negative integer? PLEASE ANSWER!?
Favorite Answer
Assume there was “a largest.” Then you could add 1 to it, making it larger. Same logic applies for negative numbers. 1 can always be subtracted.
Numbers continue without bound positively and negatively.
In computer programming, however, Integers have specific sizes and limitations.
For example, in the language C#…
The smallest signed integer is:
-2,147,483,648
and the largest signed Integer is:
2,147,483,647
The smallest unsigned Integer is:
0
and the largest unsigned Integer is:
4,294,967,295
The largest negative Integer is always -1.
Good luck!
Ditto for negative integers, although it should be noted that the “largest” negative integer would be -1.
Don’t be afraid of the word integer…it just means number…
