Static attraction keeps the dust clinging onto the CD, although it is not really a force. If there is any force, it would be that of a centrifugal force, but that would not keep the dust on the CD, but against the outer wall of anything that holds in the CD.

um…the dust is stuck in one spot. so the circular motion remains uniform. the spinning cd provided the fancy force
