In what context do you mean. Both are English spellings of some form of Chinese (Mandarin, Cantoneese) probably. In Chinese there are several varieties of Kong (or Kung assuming they are the same) as many Chinese words have homonyms. In English it probably reflects misspellings of someone pronouncing Chinese – look at the variety of spellings of Bei Jing (two words, North City)
