Treasure Island by Stevenson why doesn’t the fort just burn down?
In Stevenson’s Treasure Island I cannot understand why the wooden fort the honorable men take refuge in does not simply burn when a fire has been set on it. Does anyone know? I would assume that a wooden fort would have just been burnt to the ground by the pirates.
