Please help! I suck at math.?
When you say “one”, it stomps its hoof one time. When you say “two”, it does it twice. When you say “three”, it stomps its hoof three times.
After that, though, the stomps seemingly don’t match up with what you say. When you say 4, it stomps twice. When you say 5, it stomps once. When you say 6, it stomps twice. When you say 7, it stomps 3 times. When you say 8, it stomps 4 times. When you say 9, it stomps twice, and when you say 10, it only stomps once.
When you say 15, it stomps twice, and when you say 20, it also stomps twice.
How many times will it stomp its hoof when you say “33”?
Favorite Answer
1 – I
2 – II
3 – III
4 – IV
5 – V
6 – VI
7 – VII
8 – VIII
9 – IX
10 – X
15 – XV
20 – XX
Since 33 is XXXIII, it would stomp its hoof 6 times.
They give the number of stomps for numbers 1 to 10:
1 2 3 2 1 2 3 4 2 1
If the sequence repeats starting at 10, then we have:
1 2 3 2 1 2 3 4 2 (for 1-9)
1 2 3 2 1 2 3 4 2 (for 10-18, note 2 stomps at 15)
1 2 3 2 1 2 3 4 2 (for 19-27, note 2 stomps at 20)
1 2 3 2 1 2 3 4 2 (for 28-36)
So, if the above pattern holds, there should be 2 stomps for 33 as well. Not very mathematical, I suppose…
it seems like multiples of 4 are divided by 2 and thats the number of stomps, prime numbers are 3 stomps, multiples of 5 are 1 stomp and multiples of 3 are 2 stomps
but 20 is a multiple of 5 and 4 so i dont think thats right, sorry i cant help u
