As otherwise stated, not enough evidence was ever recovered to prove it was any one person. The note the stewardess kept had handwriting analyzed and matched to a former military guy. This guy had since died, but some objects his family found after death led them to believe it was him, and a TV show I watched had his handwriting and the note analyzed together, and the expert believed it was the same person. Most recounts state that there was no way the person could have survived the jump at night, but the TV show I saw was compelling and made me believe it was the guy. Sorry… forgot the specific name of the show….think it was on Discovery and definitely had “D.B. Cooper” in the title.

Its an interesting plot line in the TV show “Prison Break”. But no, as others have said he has never been confirmed and my guess is he is a skeleton hanging in a tree somewhere or scattered bones in a wolf’s den.
