Is it true that a $1 is worth $100 if it has an asterisk at the end of its #s? Where can i find out if it is?

I heard it from someone who said he found a dollar bill. Now I have one but I don’t know where to turn it in to. The person that told me wasn’t someone I see daily.

All denominations will be worth exactly what the amount states in numbers and letters on each bill. There is no such thing as an asterisked $1 bill being worth $100! Your friend is just pulling your leg! Just take it to any bank and wait to be laughed at, sorry!

Call someone who deals with money daily and will have no claim on your dollar or ideas… a bank.

I doubt an asterisk means 100, sorry, but that’s too much! May be rare, though… I don’t have a buck to check! lol

Don’t listen to these fools. I drew a asterisk on a few bills to make a couple of extra dollars for the weekend. Then I stuffed them down the throat of my terrible wife while she was asleep and took a few hundred bucks out of her purse.

no, it’s still only worth $1. Now if you can find someone to sell it to for $100…

Not true. It just means that the bill which originally had that number, has been destroyed.
