This does not mean there are no other places by the ocean. Take Victoria Island for example.

There are five oceans around the world…why whould Hawaii be the only place near an ocean? Who told you that???

60% of Americans (that’s 180million people!) live within 100 miles of an ocean.

Open an Atlas or look at a globe of the world, not just the island nations like Japan, the Philippines, Madagascar, Indonesia, Greenland, Iceland, but also the island-continent of Australia etc etc etc etc

maybe they are saying that hawaii is the only state that is in the middle of the ocean.

Not to mention any other country that has a coastline.
