How to keep bidding smart to win on eBay?
Favorite Answer
I’d always wait until one minute left to watch and keep refreshing the page every 5 seconds to see if others are bidding on it. Bid at 30 seconds (type fast because sometimes you have to enter your username and all that junk). Then bid with like 12 seconds left.
Don’t bid and bid for the entire 7 days or whatever. That is so annoying when people keep doing that and just jack up the price. If you wait until the last minute, other people aren’t out-bidding you and raising the price.
Also, if you do it at the last minute of the auction, make sure to enter a price that is your maximum bid. If you only do a small bid, someone might outbid you with less than 10 seconds left. If you go high enough, as much as you are willing to pay, then someone who bids with 10 seconds left will automatically get outbid by you.
And bid odd amounts too… like $5.67 or $9.91 instead of $5.00 or $9.50. It’s easier to get a higher bid on someone who will just try a plain and simple amount.
It always works for me!
