How many way can we select a offices from President, VP, Secretary and Treasure from a class of 7 if they are?

not allowed to serve in more than one office and each office is filled by only one person?

It can be be calculated through circular permutation, the formula of which basically limits only one person on one position at any given combination.

nCr = n(n-1)….(n-r+1)/r!, where n = total number in the set of objects, and r = number of objects for combination.

7C4 = (7)(7-1)…(7-4+1)/(4)(3)(2)(1) = 7(6)(5)(4)/ 24 = 840 / 24 = 35

Therefore, there are 35 ways to select offices from President, VP, Secretary and Treasure from a class of 7 if they are not allowed to serve in more than one office and each office is filled by only one person.
