there are more places to buy homeschool books than anyone can possibly list here.

Just google it, dear.

Type in “6th grade homeschool english curriculum”, the hit “go”

or try “jr. high and high school level homeschool curriculum” and then hit “go”

TONS of stuff out there.

You can even search for used curriculum the same way.

Your best bet would be to initially make a list of exactly what you’d like to cover, ask your local homeschooling friends what curriculum they use (or peruse online reviews), and attempt to borrow materials til you get an idea of whats out there and what you are looking for.

As for online textbook sellers:

Amazon has new and used textbooks and workbooks (listed in childrens educational), and they’re usually fairly well reviewed:

http://www.amazon.com/

The BackPack has new and used individual books as well as full curriculum:

Textbook Heaven has new and used books also, and a few homeschool packages:

There are tons more sellers out there of pre-packaged curriculum, schoolbooks, and individual subjects. If you start with a list of your likes, dislikes, and needs it will be a lot less overwhelming. Good luck to you!

You outght to try Barnes & Noble, Borders or any large chain bookstore. They have the teacher manuals available as well.

I also did a search for homeschool textbooks and found a myriad of websites that should help you get started.

Calverty school has great stuff for homeschooling for the 6th and 7th grade. As far as 9th grade you might want to look into Penn Foster. It has all the books for 9-12th grade. I homeschool through Penn Foster and I love it.

(sigh) In a public school. Find out what your school district is using, and order your own copies.
