And you may have a nine “story” replication of… what? A person, place or thing with a broad base, a thinner shorter middle, and a hat on top.

Nope, I don’t know what it is, other than a pile of boxes. Of course the 5×5 box can’t actually be “covered” with smaller boxes, unless you don’t pile them up, you jumble them around. Then you have a jumble of boxes, resembling… what? I guess I haven’t seen enough of life yet after all. I’ve no idea.

draw grid 5 squares x 5 squares.

start top left hand corner mark 3 down (one 3×1 used)

move progressively to right to far side marking sets of 3 down(now used five 3×1)

bottom LHS lay horizontally another 3×1

and on top of that another 3×1 (now used all seven 3×1)

leaves a 4×4 grid to cover

thats it!
