Are you smarter than a 10th grader?

Similar to the game show, you must answer questions from the core classes I am currently taking. They are Biology, Algebra, English, Spanish, Human Geography, and Theology (substitute question for non-christians will be next to it.).

First one to answer all correct wins!

FYI this is not my homework.

1. Biology. Name 3 differences from a plant cell to an animal cell.

2. Algebra: What is natural order?

3. English: T/F the subject of a sentence is always the noun at the beginning of the sentence.

4. Spanish: Translate to Spanish- Hello! Good morning! How are you? I am a serious worker, but I also am funny. I am not lazy. I am very ambitious. I am nice too. Where are you from? America? Me too. See you later!

5. Human geography: An radio transmission area is an example of a…

6. Theology: T/F (if false, give correct answer) The Bible is mainly concerned with Moral truths.

-Alternate question (Grammar): list the definition of each of these prefixes/roots: Poly, Anthro, Morph, Dei, Ambul.

1. ummm…. one produces chlorophyll and umm… (OK, so every time I was required to take a science class, I filled the slot with physics. I’m a biology moron.)

2.Crap… isn’t that the ordering of natural numbers in sequence (i.e. 1, 2, 3)?

3. Finally, one I know! False. Though true under normal circumstances, the logical subject of a passive construction follows the verb. Also, there are certain constructions when the dative (indirect object) precedes the subject noun phrase.

4. ¡Hola! ¡Buenos días! ¿Cómo estás? Soy un trabajador serio, pero también soy cómico. No soy perezoso, sino muy ambicioso. Soy simpático también. ¿De dónde eres? ¿América? Yo también. ¡Hasta luego!

5. large circle/radius/jurisdiction? I really don’t get the question.

6. F. The Bible is mainly concerned with passing along the personal philosophies of a Jewish carpenter and his immediate disciples and promoting them as “universal truths”.

ALT. Many, Man/Human, Changing, God-like, “To Move”? (I don’t know).

Ehh, most 10th graders wouldn’t know these either, so I’m still going to pretend I’m smarter than a 10th grader.

It’s too late to think about this stuff.

I already did this junk over 45 years ago.

I never used it again after the class

and I have enough useless information

stirring around inside my head for this,

but I’m giving you my answer

because I found this question

in my email box.

The last test I took in high school

before I dropped out,

then went on to take my GED

and

10 years later pick up a BA

and a bit after that my Masters.

I did well to write my name on the paper that day,

because I had been out partying the night before.

1. blossom, leaves and roots (no pun intended)

2.Whatever you want it to be

because I won’t be here next year.

3.Bananas because elephants don’t have spots.

4, Taco and Burrito

5.Someone accidentally listening to country instead of rock.

6. Who cares because it’s prolly a pack of lies to get us to go to church.

And this is just about what I turned in that day.

I can laugh about this now, but as a kid, I knew that I wasn’t ever going to need this info to get a job.

Hm, you take Theology as a class? We don’t even have a drama class at our school. You’re lucky 😛

3. False

4. “Hola! Buenos días! Como es usted?…don’t know…¿De dónde es usted? America?…don’t know…Hasta luego!

5. Don’t know

6. Poly-multiple, Anthro-about humans, Morph-structure/form, Dei-god, Ambul-walk

I am smarter and wiser than a tenth grader. When you get as old as I am you’ll realize just how little you thought you knew.

Besides, I have always found wisdom to be more helpful in the long run than book smarts.

Book smarts does not keep you alive or feed your family. Wisdom and ingenuity do.
