Ask the local school board what their requirements are. It varies from state to state. You have to take ed. courses and many courses in history and social studies.

That is dependent upon what the state requires. You say you are going to a junior college as a student or you’re wanting to be a history teacher at the college?

Visit the state department of education or even call them up and ask someone exactly what you need.

You have to have a four year degree to teach. A major in history is ideal, but you can take state tests to teach history without the history degree. Besides the four year degree you need a teaching credential, which is about a year or more of school. You don’t need a Masters, but to make it worth showing up everyday you should get one. If you want to teach junior college that is a different credential.

A Masters Degree in Education; emphasis on history. For that you need to attend a University.

pretty much you need a master in whatever type of history you plan on teaching, its a very interesting profession but know that it pays little so try becoming a college professor
