Wats the best way to memorize a poem?
I am doing a poem at school because my teacher sux and i need to know the best way to memorize one….HELP PLZ!!!

a good way to do this is to NOT memorize, but learn. when you memorize, you have a chance of forgetting. when you learn, you don’t forget. just make an image in your head. if the poem rhymes, it should help too. make into a song, story. make the next line somehow link to the next. i remember i had to learn a french poem for a french competition. i learned it and i still know it till this day (it was last year).

The best way for me to memorize a poem, or a piano piece, is to read the entire poem, or play the entire score, four or five times. Then, I take the poem or score two or three lines at a time, repeating each until I know from “memory”. I attack the entire poem or musical score in this way. After every eight or nine lines, I repeat those eight or nine lines until I have them memorized. This process continues until I have the entire piece memorized. This is a lengthy process; but, is the only method I have found that works for me.

Before you can actually memorize a poem, one need to comprehend the poem. Its little need memorizing whatever that does not make feel to you. Know the drift of the poem. After you do comprehend it, memorize the poem 2 strains at a time. Memorize the primary 2 strains, learn the following 2 strains, recite the 4 strains, repeat. The fine method to memorize is through repetition, learn the strains time and again and once more.

It always helped me to write it down at least once, and then I just memorized it one line at a time. I’d get the first line memorized and then add the second line to it and say it over and over until I had those two lines down. Next, I memorized the third line and then added it to the first two lines, and so on. Hope that helps!

In order to memorize a poem it is best to learn it little by little.

I would always read each line over and over then the entire poem. If I got one word wrong I had to go back and start over.
