Teaching Suggestions for Summer Reading?
This is my first year teaching high school and I am looking for a really creative way to have students discuss or present their summer reading. I originally designed this entire two day lesson plan revolving around food but was disappointed to find out food wasn’t allowed in my classroom.
I am wondering if there are any teachers or students out there who have done fun activities that they really enjoyed. I was thinking of maybe having the students “Sell their Book.”
I appreciate any feedback 🙂 Just looking for suggestions.

I like the sell the book idea. I knew of someone who had to create a game show about her book. That was interesting too!

depends what kind of book they’re reading and what class you’re teaching. I would say something that’s creative and gets them involved. The way I find that most people learn easier is through doing something fun. So if you want to be a good teacher do something besides the whole deep analysis essays and quote journals. Your ideas are great, good luck!
