Secondary Teachers in the Midwest–best location for teaching job?

I currently work on the east coast and am looking to move back to the Midwest. I was just looking for some suggestions on districts or even schools to begin my job search. I have five years of experience, and am fully certified in Secondary English with my Master’s in Education. I currently teach in an urban era and am comfortable with that environment. I’m also hoping for a salary over 40K (thanks to all of those lovely student loans!). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Indiana’s Position Listings – though they are not required to annouce openings. Many small/rural schools districts listed as Title 1 often pay more than wealthier/urban districts. English is in high demand here.

I think any larger district would be meet your standards. You may even look into suburbs of these larger cities or cities with a population over 50,000.
