As of the first batch saying, NCAE is very easy. If you were given a reviewer, most of the question are much likely as them or they are easier.

The NCAE will not determine whether you would go to college or not, well at least not now. It’s designed to test your abilities in different fields, particularly general aptitude (science, math, English etc.), tech-voc, entrepreneurial skills, and an interest test or something like that. The NCAE is, as of now, there to advise you on what course suits you best, the government sees that it is wise to screen people who will actually take a four-year course and make sure that there is no labour mismatch.

The NCAE is still not like the Marcosian NCEE which is required for students to actually go to college, but I think there are plans to make the NCAE a guide for colleges to assign courses to students.

Still, I think the NCAE won’t help me a lot now since I have filled up my forms for the Ateneo and for U.P, and in fact the UPCAT was conducted almost a month ago, so by the time the results of the NCAE come out, I would have had already chosen the university I’m going to and the course I passed. So if they want to make it effective, they should make the third years take it before summer so they can be properly guided in filling out those forms.
