Really the only way to know if teaching is for you is to try teaching. For now you can volunteer to tutor other students, or see if there is a tutoring program in your local area. Also, try talking with other teachers in your area to see what they like and dislike about teaching. (Every profession has its good points and bad points.) When you get to college, as an education major you’ll have the opportunity to be a student teacher and observe teachers in the classroom – this will really help you decide if teaching is right for you. If you decide that it isn’t, you can easily switch to another major (people switch majors all the time, trust me!).
