How to become a teacher?
I graudated in 2002 from UNCG with an undergraduate degree in Therapeutic Recreation. After having a couple of jobs that I didn’t particularly enjoy, I am thinking of becoming a teacher. What steps do I take? I am in NC and plan to stay here. Iknow different states have different programs.
PS: I will have to have a full-time job while I go back to school. How long might this take?

In NC teachers take the Praxis series of tests. You first need to decide what you want to teach and then apply to the state for your teaching certificate. You will have one year to take the test and they will give you some time to take whatever classes you may need.
