I know someone who learned to speak very clear English by listening to the BBC world service on radio …he sounded a bit like a newsreader (c; Listen to as much English language radio and television as you can stand.

You could probably get tapes for learning to speak English and play them in your car, in your house when you’re making things, in bed when you’re going to sleep

It would be great if you could find someone with English as a first language to have conversations with.
