Start your own classroom newspaper and deliver it to other classrooms in your grade. Assign a few children to be editors. The rest can be in charge of different topics that are important in their lives. For example: back to school fashions; interviews with favorite teachers, prinicipals, and staff members; advice columns; opinions on school food, dress code, tv shows, etc.; polls; study tips; field trip summaries…. the list can go on and on. Ask the students to write the articles and type them on the computer. Have the editors check for mistakes and make suggestions. Then when the articles are complete, print them out and make copies for everyone.
