For students who have profs who use Blackboard. Do you have a problem that professors can track when were on?

I recently became aware that professors could track when we are on Blackboard. This struck me as being very intrusive, since it is not as though we volunteer to use Blackboard. It is required by the professor. I mean, why should a professor know when I am on Blackboard?

I have to use Blackboard for several of my classes. I’ve never heard of them being able to track when we use it … aside from when they put up a test for only an hour. Obviously they’ll know we were on for that hour because we took the test while it was there.
