sooo.. when your mom finds out what you did.(and she will) you will be in more trouble than you would have been. that teacher WILL follow up.

go to mom today and let her know.

If your mom doesn’t answer your teacher’s email, then she is definitely going to call. Failing a class is a very big deal, and the teacher has a responsibility to inform the parent and to try to help you pass the class. I don’t think that you are getting out of this one. Even if you are able to answer the phone, the school will probably send a letter out at some point to follow up.

Also, please be aware that MAIL TAMPERING is a Federal Crime… So when the letter comes home, if you try to keep it from reaching your parents, you could wind up in WAY more trouble than just a failing grade or a deleted email!

I believe that once you are a junior in HS, you should realize that anything you have to hide, just shouldn’t have been done in the first place!

I agree, come clean BEFORE you get caught! It will show your parents you are more mature than your actions, and will prevent much worse trouble later.

If she is a good teacher she will follow up with your mom when she doesn’t respond to the e-mail. Beware of any teacher who is willing to let you fail without trying to intervene. THOSE are the teachers you don’t want to have. Tell your mom what you did before the teacher calls or e-mails her back. It will be much better coming from you than if your mom finds out from your teacher.

If she doesn’t hear from your Mom she well may call. It’s against the law to interfere with your Mom’s email so now you are in big trouble on a number of levels. Maybe it is time to grow up a little!

well, judging from the fact that you’re worried about your mom’s reaction, your mom’s going to be upset about your grade. And likely she’s going to want to know why she wasn’t notified when you were in danger of failing. Who is she going to ask? Your teacher. And what is your teacher going to say? I DID try to contact you. I e-mailed you, I mailed you via post office and I called. And your mom is not going to believe it was just a coincidence that every attempt was intercepted. And teacher’s document attempts and successful contacts with parents to protect themselves in situations like this.

So I’d cut my losses and ‘fess up if I where you.

What are you going to do when your teacher calls and asks mom, “Did you receive the email I sent?”

You’re going to be in double-trouble. Tell mom now, and get a plan in place as to how you can pull your grade up.

She might mail you something if she doesn’t call. I think she might call though if she was persistant enough to email. Watch your mail! or better yet, just get help in English so you won’t be failing so you wouldn’t have this problem.

I would definitely call, and I think it was terrible of you to go through your mother’s personal emails and delete one.

Actually, I think it was silly of the teacher to email your mother. I would have called first or sent a letter via post to ensure she got it.

she will keep trying until she reaches your mother, and then you will be in serious serious trouble. you shouldn’t have messed with your mom’s email. you’ve really violated her trust. this is about way more than english now.

can you put the email back? go to her recently deleted files and put it back.
