I’m a teacher, and live in Arizona. But I am from NJ originally and my dad worked in mid-town Manhattan. There was a 3 hour time difference and I remember frantically trying to contact my parents.

The news was so confusing and by the time I got to my school, I connected with another co-worker from NJ, as well as my principal who was originally from Brooklyn. The staff was originally informed to conduct class as normal since details were so sketchy.

Everyone had radios on in the classroom and by lunch the principal allowed us to talk to our kids (middle school) about what was going on. In some classrooms the TV was on. I moved my last period to a room to watch the news.

Later on I found out my dad was in FLorida visiting my grandmother. But numerous friends and family were stuck in the city in some capacity. A cousin of my husband walked through the Lincoln Tunnel to get back to Jersey before the tunnel was sealed off.

We live on the west coast, so the attacks were over already before I took my kids to school. I think I called the school to make sure classes would be in session. I didn’t want to disrupt our routine unless it was absolutely necessary. I wanted my kids to feel safe in familiar surroundings, and school was the obvious choice. I sat home and freaked out.

Yes we were instructed to by the president. I was at work and left to go pick up my kids- that was a very scary day and so is today. I wonder what Bin Laden’s plans are for today?

No, I was out to sea aboard the USS Carl Vinson on that day. We had just left Singapore 5 days before on our way to the Gulf. On October 7th (6th in the US) we started dropping bombs on Afghanistan. We didn’t hit another port until Singapore again on X-mas Eve day (23DEC out here).

What you have discovered from 9/11 is your very own enterprise; and contains your very own attitude on life, society, politics, type, faith and on and on. you haven’t any longer any enterprise attempting to coach everybody on such concerns. you’re definitley no longer in a postion to make comments on how we ought to consistently act interior the destiny. you’re able to do this at homestead. follow 2+2=4. shop your very own bias faraway from different peoples infants.
