Have you contacted the Education liaisons in the embassies of various countries in which you want to teach? They usually know which schools in their respective countries are seeking teachers of English. I would tend to want to make contacts directly with the schools rather than with companies. After all, the companies don’t do this for free, and someone has to pay for the company services…maybe you, or the school, or both..and that only reduces the available funds to pay you.

You mention that you are licensed, and that you are Asian…but are you a native English speaker? Are you a recent graduate seeking your first teaching position? Native English speakers are often a priority for hiring, especially overseas.

I am not sure when you mention licensed if that means credentialed? In the US, each state sets its own credentialing requirements. So if you were trained and credentialed in one state, you cannot teach in a different state until you meet their credentialing requirements. So the thing to do is to go online and find the State Dept. of Education for the states in which you think you want to teach to find out A) do they have reciprocity with your state; B) what do you need to do to be credentialed in the other state, C) do they have “emergency credential” programs where you can get hired, be working, and at the same time going to school to make up the courses you need to become fully credentialed in that state.

You didn’t mention the if your license was for elementary or secondary level teaching, adult education, or college. That makes a difference as the job demand for English teachers varies from place to place. But since English is a required class, you probably have a better chance to find vacancies.

Some states have populations that are growing faster than others, thus are building more schools and need more teachers. For example, Las Vegas, NV is building 100 new schools each year and is experience a severe teacher shortage.

Well, I hope this gets you off to a good start. A lot of homework for you, but this is the best send off I can give you at the moment. Good luck and best wishes in your endeavors.
