Best areas to teach and live in NC?
I just applied to all counties in NC to teach elementray school, but being that I am live in Ohio, I really do not know which areas are the best. I’d like to live in the same community I teach. Which areas should I stay away from. I dont mind working in the inner city, but of course would not want to live there. Any suggestions? Thanks 🙂

Boone NC is a quiet, small, beautiful mountain town with enchanting downtown streets. It’s also the home of Appalachia State. Plenty of places to shop, lots of places to sit outdoors and relax.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg is always in need of teachers in their every growing population but the city taxes are very high. If you get in with CMS, you can live in Union County or Cabarrus and be very happy in the atmosphere and enviroment and have an easy commute to Charlotte.

Try Asheville, NC. A nice liberal, artsy city.
