Finish school finally or stay with good paying job?

Okay, ever since I was a freshman in college, SIX years ago, I have always had a full time job, if not two. I’ve been so slowly creeping along in my studies that this is really getting rediculous, not to mention a lot harder. After six years and countless credits not being accpeted because of the curriculum changes, I am finally wanting to get this over with. I am 23 years old without my BA, even though I have been going continuously for 6 years, but I have had to take 2 or 3 classes only a semester because I can’t handle more than that. I pay my car off in October, I live at home so I don’t have any living expenses the only bills I will have to pay is for insurance and minor expenses. I make decent wages, but nothing compared to what I’ll make when I get my degree. I think I have enough work experience for any employer to take me serious, but I need to get this degree before I loose it? Help!

I think you already answered your own question, when you said, “nothing compared to what I’ll make when I get my degree.”. Once you stop, or turn away from your education, it is difficult, if not impossible, to go back to it. Education is something no one can ever take away from you. They can take everything else, but, not that. Therefore, it is not just a degree, but a measure of reasoning for the rest of your life. Improve your education, improve your odds of success in life. Get your degree, don’t look back. You will loose nothing, and gain everything. Good luck and God Bless. 🙂

Is it possible to decrease your hours at work? Regardless, I would definately do whatever possible to finish your degree. That is the most important thing! I am going through the same thing, except I’m 26. I finally just quit my job to focus on school. It was a very scary decision, but it’s totally worth it!

If you get your bachelor’s degree, you won’t have to worry about your petty, jerky boss because your resume will look great to other companies.
