Yes, and often times no, some of them may be, however leaders know how to think for themselves, solve problems, and motivate people; they can relate, interact, and are sensitive to other people naturally.
Today’s schools often are places where kids are told what to do, with whom, what, when, and where to do it, leaving little room, or freedom for these most important leadership traits to develop naturally, if not being discouraged to use them for the sake of the group.
Individual development is frowned upon as not being part of the “group”; well leaders are those who stand up and take charge, and yes, thank God are different from the “group”.
