Which company writes the most accurate (meaning the most realistic) SAT practice tests?
I see a great disparity in the scores I get depending on which company’s book I use. For example, using Barron’s, I can score 1800. But using The Princeton Review, I can score 2150. Which company, Barron or The Princeton Review (you can add your own if you want!) writes practice tests MOST like ACTUAL SAT tests?

I like the Princeton Review best for pretty much all standardized tests. I tried Kaplan (and Barron’s too, I think) — they were okay, but not outstanding. It’s been a couple years so I don’t remember perfectly which one was best, but I remember liking PR (and I just used PR for other tests).
If you’re really worried about it, go to the library, borrow each book and try one or two practice tests from each. If you do well on all of them, you should definitely be fine.

The people who write and administer the actual test are going to be the people who write test questions most closely relating to those on the test – in this case Collegeboard, i.e. SAT. Each year Collegeboard/SAT released the previous years test. They should be available in the guidance dept at your local high school. However, there are various practice questions available on-line at collegeboard.com. ACT has several practice tests on-line on their site as well (geared towards their test of course) at Actstudent.org. Good luck!

buy the collegeboard one – the blue one. barrons is decent.. princeton review’s questions are harder than the real one-but can help u be really prepared. the kaplan is really bad for the SAT I-because its easier than the real one, and some of its answers are wrong – but kaplan is good for SAT II’s

Kaplan, this is the one I have used for the TOEFL and it is very good so you should download the computer test for it.
