what’s the best score in SAT?
Favorite Answer
Some schools will let you in with 900 or above, but the better the school, the higher score you must have to gain admission.
I don’t know if you can find a “worst score” for acceptance into a university. Schools do look at a number of things, and a good GPA can make up for a not-so-good SAT score.
But you can see the middle 50% range of SAT scores of first-year accepted students on College Board: http://collegesearch.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=2321&profileId=6
“Middle 50% of
First-Year Students
SAT Critical Reading: 530 – 660
SAT Math: 570 – 690
SAT Writing: 520 – 640”
So it looks like the average anyway is around 1800.
Plus if you’re top 10 in your Texas high school, you’re automatically accepted into any university of texas school.
if you’re out of state, you’re sat score will have to be higher than if you were in state.
