6th, 7th, and 8th grade is what high schools look at, so get your mind off boys and that in-crowd crap and hit the books, but, don’t forget to have fun with your friends! When study time is done, it’s time to hang out with friends. You want to be remembered as the person who was the most fun and the smartest.

Stay organized. Have a section of your notebook or a special folder for work to be done and homework to turn in. Also have a section or folder for each class. Get an assignment book and write down your assignments and when you know tests will be. If you have material you have to learn, like vocabulary words, study them for a little while each night. That will help you learn them. Don’t put off any big projects. If you have a project due, work on it each day and make sure you stay on top of deadlines. Finally, don’t ever be afraid to ask a teacher for help. That’s what they’re there for.

My daughter is the same age. I try to tell her to have fun, but in the same note remember, nobody wants a dummy for a friend, so pay attention in class. If you are interested in cheer-leading, track, or any of the other extracurricular activities, now is the time to get involved. For instance cheer-leading, if you want to be on the squad in high school, you want to start now so you won’t be behind or regret not doing it now. Be confident. Everyone is nervous when we start Jr. High. You were a big fish in a little pond, now you are a little fish in a big pond, but you will grow. I have faith in you.

Don’t focus too hard on any one thing. Study well, it will definitely pay off in high school. Join a few clubs or teams to get yourself used to your class. Have fun, don’t forget to spend time with your friends and family. Middle school is a time to be jack of all trades, so get involved in all the good stuff you can!

Ignore the social drama and things like that. They don’t matter by the time you reach high school and only serve to distract you from learning the stuff you need.

Academically – pay attention to math and english! Doing your work there will only make high school that much easier because you’ll have the fundamentals that some will miss and struggle with throughout.

try not to get too caught up, i don’t know if this is a transition for you into middle school (alot of middle schools here start in sixth grade) but seventh grade is one of the years that could make or break your school career. just remeber friends are great and fun is well fun but you have plenty of time for all that make sure to stay focused on doing well in school so that you have every opprottunity open to you in the future

Focus on your own life and your own grades, not boys, not friends, not drama, not any of that junk. Other than that, just take it easy – seventh grade is very important because you are getting close to high school. Grades matter and you need to start taking life more seriously and you should learn to ignore unimportant things.

Hope this helps and good luck! 😉

-Study hard

-Make new friends

-Don’t piss off ur teachers

-Work but have fun

-Get in sports and other actvities

-Make good grades

-Just remember that this will all pay off. Don’t worry, it may seem boring and hard, but it might get even harder and even more boring. Believe me.
