SAT SECRETS, anyone?

Any special tips from SAT veterans for a nervous Junior?

I took the PSAT sophomore year, and am interested in some SAT prep classes, and need work on Math and Writing sections.

Help MUCH appreciated 🙂

Well, I think the best tips I can give you is to start studying a good while before hand, this way you can do it a little at a time, and assure that you thoroughly know the information.

The night before, please please PLEASE, get a lot of sleep, I took the SAT my first time on like 4 hours of sleep, it was awful! I couldn’t concentrate at all!

Next, eat a good breakfast, I recommend oatmeal, or grits, you know something that’ll stick to your ribs! ^.^

And finally, don’t stress about it. Simply study what you can, and the day of, know that you did what you could do and whatever happens, happens. A lot of it is luck of the draw, some SATs are just bad tests. I took one like last year, and I scored way lower than I did the first time I took it, no worries. If it’s not what you want, take it again!

The best thing to do would be to purchase a CD such as High School Cram and study from that as they usually put a lot of work

into stuff like this. Good Luck with your exam!

Don’t bother with a class that you have to pay for. You can get a lot of help from the SAT/college board website: http://collegeboard.com/splash/
