If you have a degree in something different then education, can you still get a job as a teacher?
like a sociology degree?

It depends where you are located. You will more than likely need to get a masters, or take a few extra required classes to add to your bachelors. I know that my major of forensic psychology required me to take some extra classes because I did not have enough of what was required. (math, social studies, English, etc.) However, a classmate of mine was able to go straight into a Masters program because her bachelors was in English.
Try talking to the dean at a college near you, or where you would want to teach! Good luck.

You certainly can. My BA is in Human Studies and I’ve been teaching for two years now. You just need to get certified in your state – look at the state’s edu website to see the requirements.

sure. most states will want you to get a teachers certificate, but the main thing is having a degree and experience. professors with PhDs do not have teachers credentials (I am sure you noticed that about some of your professors
